Magnolia School is located between the community of Magnolia Springs and the town of Foley on County Road 55. This school is a dream comes true for the community of Magnolia Springs. In the early 1900’s, the town hall, now known as the Magnolia Springs Community Hall, was used as the first schoolhouse for area students. In 1927, a school building was erected which later became known as the Magnolia Springs School. When the school was extensively damaged by fire in 1985, students were permanently transferred to various Foley school campuses. Twelve years later, bids were approved for a new Magnolia School, the ground was broken and the building begun. The faculty was completed in December 1998. It encompasses 72,000 square feet consisting of 27 classrooms, a cafeteria, computer lab, gym, library, and office. In the winter of 2000 the addition of 8 new classrooms began. Magnolia School now has a total of 35 classrooms and a grand total of 85,000 square feet.
