Guidance Counselor (Pre-K - 2nd)

Mrs. Barbara Jones

Mrs. Jones looks forward to serving the Magnolia School community in a new way as she transitions from classroom educator to school counselor. Entering eight years of total experience in education, including nearly five as a dedicated teacher at Magnolia, she has a deep connection to our students, families, and staff. She holds an Associate's Degree from Pensacola Junior College and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Florida. Before finding her true calling in education, she gained valuable professional experience working in the banking industry. 

Her rewarding years in the classroom inspired her to focus even more on student well-being, mental health, and academic success. To bring the best support to our families, she is currently a graduate student in the School Counseling program at Troy University and a member of Chi Sigma Iota, the counseling honor society. She's dedicated her career to fostering student achievement and ensuring that every child has a safe, supportive path toward success. 

Outside of school, Mrs. Jones places the highest value on her family and loves exploring new things. She comes from a proud military family with a strong history of service, and her husband serves our local community in the Sheriff's Office. Together, they are blessed with two wonderful daughters and two rescue pups. As a family, they love traveling, seeing new places, and making memories together. 

 

Guidance Counselor (3rd-6th)

Mrs. Tracy Sears-Lee

Mrs. Tracy Sears-Lee is a dedicated school counselor with a lifelong commitment to supporting children, families, and their emotional well-being. She earned a Master of Science in Human Developmental Psychology from Wheelock University in Boston and a Master of Science in Community Counseling from Wilmington University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Behavioral Science Psychology from Wilmington University in Georgetown, with double minors in Addictions Therapy and Forensics.

Mrs. Sears-Lee is entering her 26th year of service with Baldwin County Public Schools, where she is committed to fostering students' academic, social, and emotional success. Prior to her career in education, she served for several years as a Child and Adolescent Therapist with the State of Alabama, providing counseling and support to children and families.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Mrs. Sears-Lee treasures time with her family, her faith, and her love of animals. She is married to Barry Lee, a retired physical education coach, and is the proud mother of three daughters and a grandchild. She has a special fondness for dachshunds and all animals and is guided by her faith and a deep belief that compassion, integrity, and genuine character are the foundation of meaningful relationships and lifelong service.
